well, it's official, we're a three strong party over here in oz with the
latest addition to our household - baxter the chocolate mini dachshund!!




we've only had him 5 days and he's exhibiting more and more puppy like behaviour each day. he started off very quiet and chilled out - now he runs around the house like a madman and follows shane and i EVERYWHERE. CONSTANTLY. he's also been trying his absolute hardest to get up onto the couch by himself - and missing by a long shot. we took him to the dog park across the street for the first time last night and he was soooooo well behaved. it probably helped that it was dark out so no other dogs were around to distract him but he walked very nicely on his leash and came every time he was called when off the leash. such a cutie, expect lots of pics of him in the next few weeks!

yes, i am alive! barely, though. i came back to work to be faced with the busiest time of year and have been putting in crazy hours, throwing together pretty average designs frankly, and also battling a very irritating cold that just goes on and on and on. i've gone thorugh so much kleenex and tea in the last few weeks, it's quite ridiculous. also, i just haven't really been feelin' the blog thing. maybe it's just the absolute lack of time or the fact that spending more than 12 hours a day in front of a mac really doesn't seem that appealing...

anyway, i'll try to get back into it, join in on self portrait tuesday again next week, keep some sort of entertaining content going on here. for the moment i'm just trying desperately to find a sports bar in melbourne that will be playing the Oilers vs. Carolina NHL playoffs on sunday afternoon - unbelieveable that in a sports loving city of this size, i can't seem to find a single place that will be showing it. sunday might find shane and i sitting in front of the plasma screen in my work lunch room, cheering on the oilers by ourselves.
